Vera DG, official member of the Ukrainian Pavilion of the 58th Venice Biennale, is a Ukrainian born multifaceted visual artist with 21 years of diverse experience in the art world, who knows for a fact that she dreamed of becoming an artist from early childhood and her very first personal exhibition took place when she was only six years old.
Unlike the usual norm, Vera proudly announced her way into the world of art with a giant leap. She was invited to decorate private apartments and houses of the most important people in her country, and for more than 5 years she collaborated with main architectural companies based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Vera’s artworks astonished clients like Ukraine’s Minister of Energy Stavitsky Eduard, a well-known Ukrainian politician Taruta Sergiy, general director of the ISIDA clinic Viktor Kozin & others.
In 2016 Vera started a solo career. Her ongoing focus is all about the development of Calligraffiti style, which is combination of graffiti and calligraphy, which Vera connects with figurative and portrait painting.
Since 2016, Vera has been based in Istanbul. She moved there to study calligraphy within the ancient city which unites East and West. In the last few years, her genuine artworks witnessed so many influences and inspirations derived from the Middle Eastern calligraphy. Moreover, Vera connects in her artworks Oriental Ottoman and Arab calligraphy along with Western European styles. It is a mix of characters, symbols, which acquires a unique meaning and content.
In 2019 Vera decided to establish the Product Design studio, adding authentic value to Decoration for Interiors and Jewelry production with a distinctive signature of calligraphy by an artist.
Today, Vera’s artworks are in the Private Museum of Contemporary art in Macedonia. Some of her Artworks are also present in the collection of the Mayor of the city Ayvalik Mr. Rahmi Gencher, Turkey.
